At the turn of the 21st Century, Cartier sought to introduce a new watch inspired by one of the greatest mechanical wonders of the 20th Century, the automobile. The Cartier Roadster series of mens watches brings with it the sleek styling and lines of a great sports car and the reliability of a well cared for classic. The Roadster features the classic Roman numerals favored in most Cartier watches but with a slight difference in their positioning. This watch has what appears to be two layers on the face with the numbers placed on the topmost layer. The bottom layer has the Cartier name and individual markings to show the minutes in each hour. The hour and minutehands are sword shaped; a second hand is also included on the watch.

To help you keep track of the date, each Cartier Roadster mens watch has the date on the face with a magnifier over the number to make it easier to read. The bezel of this watch shows an additional two layers and a combination of a square and round face.
